OK, so I have a scarflet that I've left unfinished for 2 weeks because I can't figure out how to solve this issue. Not even a knitting issue!

Say you wear your scarflet somewhere, and then you want to take it off, but unlike a scarf you can't just unwind it and leave it hanging around your neck. It's too short; it will fall off. What does one do? Put the scarflet in a bag or something?

I'm probably the wrong person for fashion advice but I'd treat it like gloves, i.e. put it in a pocket or a bag.

yeah, I'm thinking this is the only way to go, unless you pin it to your coat collar or something. which i could do, but I don't really WANT to.

Make your scarflet a scarf? But that's just me because I can't stand tiny bits of fabric floating around me that are liable to go missing. Perhaps you could wind it around your wrist and turn it into a giant knitted bracelet.

well, that's why I haven't finished it. I either put the buttonhole in now and finish off, or keep going if I decide I don't want to scarflet-wrangle.

I have lots of tiny bits of fabric around me at all times, heh

I shove mine in a pocket because if it's cool enough to wear a scarf I probably have a big pocketed jacket on. I'd be wary of putting hand knits in my bag due to potential damage and subsequent grief. I usually have a collapsible shopping bag in my handbag so I guess that could be a solution, too.

I'm careless with my hand-knits, I guess! But I don't have a lot in my bag that can damage them (my purse is pretty minimal; the diaper bag is pretty organized), and usually have fingerless gloves or wristwarmers in my bags anyway.
