Less, maybe. As a xenolinguist, she has to accept other culture's ideas about themselves as a base premise, in a way McCoy does not want to and avoids whenever he can. So, she'd start with the assumption that she lives in a world where the Meditation of Blood makes sense, and try to figure out what sort of world that is.
I'd love to see that, actually! I read the original way back (and never commented, sorry) and it would be interesting what, if anything, the surviving Vulcans would change, how this Spock would go about it, how Uhura and/or McCoy would react.
