The Musgrave Ritual

I have the Granada "The Musgrave Ritual" on, and Holmes is so flouncy and abrupt in the carriage ride at the beginning. I love Brett's dramatic Holmes so much. 

edit: as usual when I watch a Granada ep these days, I follow it up by reading the corresponding bit from The Best and Wisest Adaptation I Have Ever Known, by Plaid Adder. The “Musgrave Ritual” commentary is probably of particular interest for Sherlock fans.

It's such a good episode!! So creepy, and Holmes is delightfully OTT all wrapped up in his blanket.

Brett’s Holmes is always dramatic, but in this episode he’s SO dramatic. I love every bit of it.

I love the way he conveys both a very finicky delicacy and a vigorous physicality, sometimes switching between them, sometimes both at once. It’s a delight.
