Gah! Moriarty even SAYS exactly what it is in the last episode, too!

And soooo not a revolver. You'd think there being nothing on it that looks like it, oh I don't know, REVOLVES would be a clue!

Why I'm surprised, when I know perfectly well from X-Men movie fandom that people cannot tell a rifle from a shotgun, and from Highlander fandom that most people think Glenfiddich is high-end Scotch, I don't really know.

I think a lot of people believe that "revolver" is just a sexier word meaning "handgun", when actually it...carries meaning of its own. Sigh.

Also, in book canon, Watson had a revolver. People might be transferring canon inappropriately.

I think this is actually the root cause of most of the revolvers.

Root cause or not, his gun in the series is visibly not a revolver. The transfer is wildly inappropriate. :D

I see a lot of carry over from the books that is refuted by simple observation of the series. My guess is a few of these folks haven't actually seen it.

Well, in book canon, Watson could hardly have had a modern semi-automatic, since they didn't exist yet. But the times, people! Keep up with the times, and the canon you're working with!
