Re: adding people. I was going through [personal profile] kouredios's friending meme finding folks (HI PEOPLE) but wow, so many, overwhelming! I'm sure I'll find more people as time goes on.

Re: Sandy Hook. Seriously, my brain just keeps stuttering to a halt. I don't even.

RIGHT NOW I WANT TO TALK ABOUT:

Yesterday, my mom came over to babysit and N & I went to see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Short thoughts:

- Martin Freeman was excellent
- The way they structurally tied it together with the beginning of Lord of the Rings was very neatly done.
- Cate Blanchett DOES NOT AGE
- there is a LOT of running from orcs. I feel like this book did not need 3 movies to address it, but on the other hand, I'm not exactly complaining about the experience.
- I did have some moments of needing to hoist ye olde disbelief on a rope. I have entitled the rope "Gandalf must be some kind of REALLY AWESOME WIZARD to make that particular coincidence work out". Luckily, the rope was woven by Elves.
- I miss my "Leggy of the Nine Inches & the Dwarf of Dum" icon.

I saw the 3D version and Cate Blanchett did have some lines around her eyes. I found this heartening.

Seriously! I want her face cream, heh.

Also -- yes indeed, Martin Freeman was excellent. That bears repeating.

Finally -- I really need more icons.
