really enjoyed this story, esp. the refs to Duane's world-building, have always liked her stuff. also, this one was wondering if perhaps you might be a person who used to post on asceml, way back when in a very different life? if so the one would say hello to thee, and if not, well, pay no attention to the old codger, he'll be gone in a minute or so :)
